HIGH PRAISE FROM THE WORLD'S MOST CRITICAL CRITIC
Robert Parker, publisher of America's most influential wine journal, The Wine Advocate, had the following to say of our wines:
90 points: Koonowla 2005 Single Vineyard Shiraz
90 Points: Koonowla 2008 Single Vineyard Riesling
92 points: The Koonowla 2003 Shiraz, aged in equal parts American and French oak, exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, blockbuster-like force and richness, and noteworthy blackberry liqueur-like notes intermixed with white flowers, smoke, and asphalt. Chewy, heady, and rich, it is best drunk over the next 7-10 years. This is a seriously, impressive Shiraz.
90 points: The fragrant, dry, medium-bodied Koonowla 2005 Riesling offers up lovely aromas of tropical fruits and citrus (especially grapefruit). With loads of fruit, good minerality, and a crisp, pure finish, I suggest consuming it over the next year, although many Aussies prefer these wines a little older.
89 points: The Koonowla 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses pure black currant and fruit characteristics interwoven with underbrush and earth notes. Moderately tannic, with a sweet, expansive mid-palate, and a heady finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years.
